A very popular choice for corporate groups, private parties, hens and stags alike. At the heart of our country pursuits offering, each of these activities provides an experience-type session or team based competitive event to suit your objectives.
Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced shot, Grange Farm’s clay shooting ground has something to offer everyone.
The only activity we offer for individuals, Grange Farm offers private tuition seven days a week subject to availability and daylight hours.
Private tuition sessions will approach each session as required. There is no time limit set as such, but a standard session is likely to last for approximately one hour and is based on 30 shots across (usually) five different targets. All necessary equipment is provided, although you are welcome to bring your own shotgun.
Groups of two upwards can be catered for with your party being split into smaller teams, as appropriate. Team members will receive coaching from our qualified instructors, each having a number of practice shots before attacking a range of different targets. Each team and individual will be scored according to how many targets they successfully hit, with trophies awarded to the highest scoring shots at the end of the session to inject a competitive element. All necessary equipment is provided, although you are welcome to bring your own shotgun.
We are often asked about bruising to the shoulder. Please be assured that shoulder pads are provided where appropriate, you will be matched with the appropriate equipment and our experienced coaches will look after you.
A simulated game day at Grange Farm will replicate the real thing as closely as possible, from the drawing of pegs to the traditional shooting fayre. Ultimately, your day will be designed around your requirements, but typically might include 4 to 5 drives, which can be shot single or double gun to suit your number of guns. A range of targets will be provided for you with mixed pheasant and partridge drives, finishing with a duck drive over the lakes. You might also be surprised by the odd woodcock, simulated with orange flash clays.
While safety is of course paramount, we hope that you will find your time with us both enjoyable and rewarding in our relaxed and friendly environment.
Based on our scenic Clay Shooting ground, team members will receive coaching from our experienced and qualified coaches. Each person will then take aim at a range of standard and humorous targets. We will score individuals according to how many targets they successfully hit and award a trophy to the person who shoots the most successfully.
